A strike of teachers and educators in Iran

On Sunday morning, large-scale strikes by teachers and educators took place in all Iranian cities on the basis of previous calls for social media.

The strike included all educational institutions, both schools and universities.
Sources pointed out that the strike comes because of the low salaries of teachers and poor living conditions in the throes of economic crises suffocating the country, while ignoring the government authorities demands.

She added that the salaries of teachers equal less than a sixth of the salaries of government counterparts and demanding their salary increase in light of the high prices and high inflation rates in the markets, but not in response to their demands. As well as to support the strike of heavy truck drivers.

She pointed out that most Iranian schools responded to this strike – if not all – including Tehran, Bushehr, Ahwaz, Hamdan, Trabiz, Mariwan, Sanandaj, Saqqaz, Mashhad, Malir, Shiraz, Kazrun, Shahar, Islamshahr, Samnan, Kermanshah, Sarh, Rasht, Qazvin, Behbehan, Yasuj, Karaj, Yazid, Isfahan, Khorramabad, Dahlran, Brugrud, Arumiye, Ardbil, Tarbet Heidereh, Zahedan and other Iranian cities.
