Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have broadcasted a documentary filled with lies on its failed attack on PDKI’s headquarters in Koya, southern (Iraqi) Kurdistan. In 1996 more than 5000 IRGC terrorists entered southern Kurdistan armed with heavy artillery to attack the PDKI. The failed operation laster for two days and not a single PDKI Peshmerga was injured or martyred.
The documentary does not mention that the IRGC were forced to withdraw and five days after the failed attack 125 members of the IRGC were killed in eastern (Iranian) Kurdistan in clashes with the Peshmerga Forces.
The purpose of broadcasting the documentary is two fold; the IRGC wants to portray a image of its military ability and remind that it can attack the PDKI in southern Kurdistan. The IRGC also seeks to create disunity between Kurdish political parties in the two different parts of Kurdistan by claiming that it received approval and help from Kurdish political parties in southern Kurdistan.
PDKI will never allow an enemy of the Kurdish people to create disunity among the Kurdish people and their political parties.
PDKI will always defend the Kurdish people against Iranian military aggression.
All efforts to spread this kind of propaganda has always backfired against the theocratic regime in Iran and its terrorist IRGC.
