Following the clashes between PDKI’s Peshmerga Forces and Iran’s terrorist Islamic Guards (IRGC) in eastern (Iranian) Kurdistan around the cities of Shno (Oshnavia), Sardasht and Xane (Piranshar), new heavy clashes erupted on June 24 and 25 outside the cities of Mehabad and Mariwan. While the Iranian forces suffered heavy casualties, unfortunately a Peshmerga was martyred in the Salwatawa region of Mariwan.
Consistent with PDKI’s new strategy of interconnecting the struggle of Peshmerga in the mountains and the struggle of the Kurdish people in the cities, PDKI’s Peshmerga Forces have continued to carry out political missions.
Once again, PDKI’s Peshmerga Forces came under attack by Iran’s Islamic Guards.
Heavy clashed occured outside Mahabad, the traditional stronghold of the Kurdish liberation movement, on June 24. The clashes occurred in the villages of Do Choman, Bagrdan, Hassan Chap and Ingotin.
The clashes lasted for several hours. Fortunately, PDKI’s Peshmerga Forces managed to leave the region of Mahabad without suffering any casualties or injuries.
PDKI’s Peshmerga Forces came under heavy fire 04:00 this morning, June 25. The clashes occurred in the Salwatawa region of Mariwan. Following a heroic battle, PDKI’s Peshmerga Forces managed to break through enemy lines. Unfortunately, Shoresh Minbari, a brave and beloved PDKI Peshmerga, was martyred in the clashes in Salwatawa.
Iranian forces have suffered heavy casualties and at least 20 injuries in the clashes during the past 10 days.
